For Teryn Buster, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade started well before the holiday. In early November, Columbus-based insurer Aflac flew the 10-year-old, her mom and grandmother to New York City for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Macy’s Parade Studio and VIP access to “Balloonfest” to see up close the newest balloonicles (self-powered balloon vehicles).

Today, Whole Kids Foundation announced the 2017 Growing Healthy Kids Campaign raised $3,542,448, with 15 supplier partners investing more than $950,000 to support children’s nutrition and health.

For the 12th year, Gildan is proud to be a partner of the Foundation for Athletes of Excellence in Québec (FAEQ) in recognizing outstanding student athletes that combine strong athletic performances with excellent academic results. During Xylem’s Month of Service in October, employees volunteered for water-related activities in their communities, including cleaning up water sources and rebuilding homes in Houston. On September 12, the Sales team at Xylem Analytics UK in Letchworth turned their swiftwater and flood first responder training into a Walk for Water. As the participants walked to the training locations carrying the Watermark banner, they engaged local community members, increasing local awareness of the global water crisis.

On Giving Tuesday, November 28, beginning at 9 a.m., the ASPCA is hosting its first-ever ASPCA Giving Hope Facebook Live-a-thon on the ASPCA’s Facebook page. Special guests include actress Edie Falco, Mother of Dogs founder Allie Rizzo, as well as Travis Brorsen, host of Animal Planet’s My Big Fat Pet Makeover, Dan Schachner, America's favorite Animal Planet Puppy Bowl "Rufferee," and Jill Rappaport, an award-winning animal advocate and host of Animal Planet’s first-ever, Puppy Bowl Presents: The Dog Bowl. Influencers and senior pet advocates Chloe Kardoggian and Mervin the Chihuahua will also join the event.
