Walls never used to interest me that much. But ever since we launched our partnership with the MasterPeace organization four months ago, I’ve discovered how amazing they can be.

CA Technologies (NASDAQ:CA) announced its commitment to reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 40% by 2030, from a 2015 baseline, in its 8th annual Sustainability Report. The report highlights the company’s continued evolution of corporate social impact, from environmental stewardship to broader societal change.

To build the playground, the MLBPA and its charitable arm, the Players Trust, joined forces with KaBOOM!, a non-profit dedicated to providing kids a childhood filled with balanced and active play, to build the playground, which will serve more than 1,800 children in Opa-Locka, a community northwest of Miami in Dade County.

The first day of building kicked off July 10 and will continue through July 14. Projects during the week include: 75 homes in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, 25 homes in Winnipeg and 50 homes in territories and provinces across Canada.

Student designers are helping to inspire recycling in Grand Teton National Park thanks to a visionary program titled, Building STEAM. This program is led by Jackson Hole Public Art in partnership with Grand Teton National Park and Teton County School District, and funded by Subaru of America, Inc. as part of its Zero Landfill Initiative. Through this initiative, Subaru shares its knowledge of zero landfill practices with the national parks and works towards a goal of significantly reducing waste going into landfills.
