This year, The Wendy’s Company Annual Frosty 5K raised $110,000 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The event was held on July 15 in Columbus, Ohio and had more than 800 participants. The race started and ended downtown at Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers. Runners and walkers took the course through downtown, across the Scioto Mile and finished in the outfield of the minor-league stadium.

Recently the Water Brothers, producers of an international water-focused TV series, traveled to the Prize testing site to document ongoing research and testing. Holland America Line President Orlando Ashford participated in the first-ever ESPN | Special Olympics Unified Sports Challenge, held Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the University of Washington’s Husky Ballpark. Ashford was among an exclusive group of executives who competed with employees, celebrities and Special Olympics athletes in multiple Unified Sports challenges – all to raise money for Special Olympics and the Seattle community. Holland America Line was a presenting sponsor for the Seattle Art Mural project of the Special Olympics USA Games.
