More Companies Get on Board with #GivingTuesday. Let’s Keep that Goodness Going!

It’s been a week since #GivingTuesday 2017 and we’re still overwhelmed by the incredible participation of companies and people around the world who, together, raised a staggering $264.6 million in the movement's sixth year. At Benevity, almost 200 of our enterprise clients got involved, with their employees logging 45,000 volunteer hours and donating $13 million (including employer matching) to nearly 11,000 charities around the world.

With funding and supplies through a Keep America Beautiful/Lowe’s Community Partners Grant, Keep Dallas Beautiful (KDB), through its "Adopt A Station" program, created outdoor living spaces at 23 fire stations in underserved Dallas neighborhoods in the fall of 2017.

Wells Fargo Bank Branches Become Holiday Food Banks

Wells Fargo is doubling as a food bank this holiday season in a joint effort with United Way to fight hunger. From Nov. 28 to Dec. 30, approximately 5,900 Wells Fargo branches will serve as food donation centers, collecting nonperishable foods in specially marked bins as part of the Wells Fargo Holiday Food Bank.

As #GivingTuesday Goes Global, Companies Around the World Join the Movement

The day after one of the most successful and widely-adopted global giving events, CECP: The CEO Force for Good, one of the founding partners of the #GivingTuesday movement, announced record levels of corporate support for the global philanthropy movement. By 5:00 p.m. ET on November 28, online donations were up 25% compared to 2016. Begun in 2012, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It kicks off the charitable season and takes place the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized global shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Timberland Transforms Philadelphia Green Space in Second Year of its Urban Greening Commitment

Recently, over 100 volunteers from Timberland and its partners from Journeys, KicksUSA and Urban Outfitters, as well as local Philadelphia photo-blogger Conrad Benner of StreetsDept.com, came together to help transform a section of an abandoned railway in Philadelphia into a new city green space, that will open to the public in Spring 2018.

T. Rowe Price Associates Assemble More Than 14,000 Care Packages for Service Members Ahead of Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a time to recognize the contributions of military service members, past and present. To celebrate Veterans Day, T. Rowe Price partnered with the United Service Organizations (USO) to bring a touch of home to service members in remote areas around the world. Nearly 1,000 associates across T. Rowe Price’s U.S. offices volunteered to create more than 14,000 care packages for service members.
