Corporate social responsibility and sustainability reporting is growing globally yet many brands continue to suffer from a lack of awareness among key stakeholders about their organisations’ many environmental, social and governance (ESG) successes.

This forum brings together more than 400 business leaders, governments, academia, trade unions and civil society, from 25 countries, to share best practices for reducing gender gaps in the workplace and to highlight the role of the business sector as a key player in advancing gender equality and building inclusive work environments for the achievement of the 2030 Agenda.

Union Bank of Nigeria (Union Bank) has joined Business Call to Action (BCtA) with a pledge to provide access to financial services for at least 30,000 people from low income communities in 11 states across northern Nigeria by 2020, where currently more than half the population are unbanked.

This requires a carefully designed measurement system that captures data on women’s economic empowerment from multiple perspectives and sources.

The recent wave of hurricanes in the US -- Harvey, Irma & Sandy -- have offered municipalities a reminder of the importance of installing assets that can provide resilient power in critical facilities. The need of the hour is to install advanced microgrids equipped with the latest technology that can perform on multiple levels during these extreme weather conditions and grid outages. Microgrids were chosen as one of the options to provide necessary resilience during inclement weather in the recent US Department of Energy’s 2017 Grid Reliability Study.

In February of 2016, we committed $3 million over three years to SeriousFun Children’s Network. Our support will enable nearly 1,000 children, many with rare diseases, to attend SeriousFun’s transformative camps and programs free of charge. This is a look at our partnership in year two!
