CECP: The CEO Force for Good announced that its Strategic Investor Initiative (SII) will host the CEOs of GSK and NRG Energy as well as a senior executive from IBM Corporation at the next CEO Investor Forum (CIF) on September 20, 2018. This invitation-only event is SII’s fifth CEO Investor Forum and will take place at Convene at Condé Nast at One World Trade in New York City. The editors of Latina Style magazine have named FCA US LLC among the top 12 U.S. companies for Hispanic women to work. The ranking is part of the magazine’s annual Latina Style 50 Report (LS50 Report). More than 800 companies were evaluated for inclusion on the list. The LS50 Report highlights companies that have a dedicated effort to diverse recruitment and promotion initiatives, including companies that have programs to recruit veterans and military personnel.

This week I had the pleasure of attending our first liner recycling event at the New Gallery of Art, in the Xuhui district of Shanghai. At the event, we recognised and celebrated By-Health Co. Ltd., a China health supplements company, as the first brand owner to partner in the Avery Dennison Liner Recycling Program in China.

This past week thousands of delegates were in San Francisco for the Global Climate Action Summit. Spearheaded by California Governor Jerry Brown, the Summit showcases the commitments of states, cities and businesses to cut their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and protect the Earth from further dangerous warming. This is an urgently needed response to the U.S. vow to become the only country in the world to back out of its climate commitments under the 2015 Paris Agreement.

As part of its continued commitment to create an attractive workplace, Whirlpool Corporation today announced that it will open an employer sponsored child care facility to help working Whirlpool Corporation parents in our local community.

This comes as a result of a survey that Whirlpool Corporation conducted to more closely understand the childcare needs of its employees. The survey found that there was a significant need among employees’ families for an on site employee child care facility in the Benton Charter Township-Benton Harbor-St. Joseph area.

At Goldcorp, we’re proud to have highly trained Mine Rescue and Surface Emergency Response Teams at our mining operations, ready for any emergency that might arise. Thankfully, these rarely occur; but at the same time, how can response teams stay at the top of their game if they’re hardly ever activated?

Although each mine’s emergency responders receive regularly scheduled training to stay fresh, many felt they would benefit from getting together in a focused, organized event that promotes sharing knowledge and improving skills. To that end, Goldcorp’s Mine Rescue Summit was developed to keep emergency responder skills up-to-date with specialized realistic training exercises that put each participant to the test.

In her role, Rieker is responsible for maintaining traffic flow in the valet area in front of The Venetian, facilitating guest interactions, ensuring arrival and departure amenities for guests are provided and maintaining overall guest satisfaction and experience.
