CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) today announced the results of its annual employee volunteer initiative, CIT Cares Month. Throughout June, 275 community projects were completed by 1,700 CIT employees who contributed 6,400 volunteer hours nationwide to make a difference.

Hundreds of people took to the Scottish Highlands for the Martin Currie Rob Roy Challenge, hiking and biking their way to raising thousands for charity. The event has been running since 2006 and has raised almost £4 million for good causes.
