Points of Light, in partnership with The UPS Foundation and TEGNA, celebrates National Volunteer Week, April 7-13, 2019, through volunteer recognition and service events around the country.

Newark Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Keep America Beautiful-Newark, the new local branch of national nonprofit Keep America Beautiful®, held the city’s first volunteer Keep America Beautiful Great American Cleanup® event today in the city’s South Ward.

What started as a one-day event in seven cities quickly spread to 170 cities, engaging 7,000 employees and supporting 300 nonprofits. How? Amanda Lenaghan, Senior Program Manager of Schwab Community Services, gives us the inside scoop and reveals how one event can catalyze year-round Goodness!

Tetra Tech was among the top winners honored at the Sustainable Pittsburgh Challenge (SPC) Finale and Awards Ceremony on March 21, 2019. The purpose of SPC is to increase sustainability practices by Pittsburgh businesses across seven major categories: social equity, energy, water, materials management, transportation, air quality, and engagement.

Mohawk Group associates recently braved the bitter Canadian cold to participate in the 4th Annual Cam’s Cup Pond Hockey Tournament in Uxbridge, Ontario. Partnering with Toronto-based Priority Contracting, Mohawk Group emerged undefeated from the 20 teams represented to win the entire tournament once again.

Unfortunately, Carlton Honey did not have a village growing up. His father worked four jobs and his mother was quite ill, and he made some poor decisions.
