On January 23, 2018, Sands Cares, the company’s corporate giving program, adopted its first school, Helen Herr Elementary School, in partnership with non-profits Spread The Word Nevada (STWN) and Green Our Planet in Las Vegas. The $50,000 donation will fund free books and literacy programs for more than 800 students through 2020.

In each region, Sands Cares has Corporate Social Responsibility leads that manage the program and execute initiatives unique to each region.

Aramark (NYSE: ARMK), a global leader in food, facilities and uniforms, announced that it will donate $1 to local community centers when consumers join or follow its Feed Your Potential 365 health campaign* at FYP365.com/community or on Instagram @Aramark. Funding from this effort will be distributed through the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, a respected national community action network, and will be earmarked to support nutrition and cooking educational experiences that help children and families in underserved communities lead healthier lives.

Xylem Watermark volunteers from Yellow Springs, Ohio spent World Water Monitoring Day with EarthEcho at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, participating in water education activities for more than 100 students from surrounding schools. The move has been supported by Keep America Beautiful, which has served as the nation’s nonprofit steward of litter prevention for more than six decades.

In some areas of Thailand, especially rural areas, school buildings can ​be run-down and filled with old equipment, which may lower the quality of education. Our ‘My School Project’ gives our colleagues in Thailand a chance to give back to their local communities.
