Across the world, October is recognised as Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) month. As a brand with a big heart and a history of supporting women through charitable causes, PANDORA is donating to the cause in various markets to raise awareness for a disease that affects millions of women worldwide. Some of the markets that are supporting local charitable initiatives are, among others, the US, Brazil, Spain and Hong Kong.

“Notes of Hope” in the US

The US has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation, where participating PANDORA retailers, all owned & operated stores and the online store, will donate 20% of sales on selected products in stores and online.

In the US, PANDORA is also collecting “Notes of Hope” in all owned and operated stores and any PANDORA franchise partner that wishes to participate. These are templated note cards that customers can write and send personalised messages of support to Breast Cancer patients.

Wearing pink in Brazil

In Brazil, PANDORA is inviting consumers to wear their pink jewellery to support local breast cancer charity – Femama. PANDORA employees located in the Brazil offices are also given pink

laces to wear throughout the month, as well communicating the importance of ‘Breast Self-Examination’.

Spanish Breast Cancer Awareness charm

In Spain, consumers had the opportunity to purchase a limited edition Breast Cancer Awareness pink charm for only 9 Euros with any other purchase on the online store. All of these were initially sold out within two days.

In addition, PANDORA donates 29 Euros from each charm purchased in Spain and in the end funds are donated to PANDORA Spain’s charity partner – The Sandra Ibarra Foundation.

Pink Revolution in Hong Kong

Across October, all PANDORA stores in Hong Kong are participating in raising awareness for the cause. 20% of proceeds for every purchase of two selected charms will go to PANDORA Hong Kong’s charity partner; Cancer Fund’s Pink Revolution.
