7-Eleven’s RENEW™ Reduced Emissions Program and Customers Help Plant 100,000 Trees With The Arbor Day Foundation
In one year, 7-Eleven, Inc. and its customers have planted 100,000 trees and offset 32,448 metric tons in carbon emissions through the RENEW™ reduced emissions fuel program. That is the equivalent of powering 1.6 million homes for a whole day with no environmental impact.

NASCAR Continues Sustainability Efforts With the Arbor Day Foundation
The NASCAR Green Race for Trees Campaign – a sustainability partnership between the Arbor Day Foundation, NASCAR, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas A&M AgriLife and Harris County Master Gardener Association - will distribute 500 new trees this year to homeowners in Houston.

The Arbor Day Foundation announced today that it has extended its partnership with Hy-Vee, Inc., a supermarket chain in the Midwest. For the third year in a row, Hy-Vee presented a $100,000 donation to support tree plantings and reforestation projects around the communities it serves.

Friday, October 5, The Arbor Day Foundation and Texas Roadhouse will plant trees in Beckley Creek Park and distribute free trees to Jefferson Country residents to plant in their yards.

Arbor Day Foundation Announces New Partnership With Grove Collaborative
The Arbor Day Foundation announced today a new partnership with Grove Collaborative — an auto-shipment service offering natural household products — to plant 100,000 trees in forests of high need. Grove Collaborative has pledged to donate 1 percent of sales from Grove Collaborative’s Seedling branded paper products toward the Foundation’s reforestation efforts on an ongoing basis.

Warranty Solutions and the Arbor Day Foundation Reach the Planting of 2M Trees
Warranty Solutions and the Arbor Day Foundation have reached a new milestone in their partnership by planting two million trees in our nation’s forests. The partnership began in 2009 to help improve air quality, water quality, mitigate the effects of climate change, combat deforestation and prevent species loss.

TruGreen Helps to Distribute Free Trees to Communities in Need
In celebration of National Arbor Day, TruGreen once again teamed up with the Arbor Day Foundation to support the Community Tree Recovery Program. Several TruGreen branches in the areas of Buffalo, Detroit, and Boulder helped homeowners by planting trees in areas affected by natural disasters. These new trees were free and will help to replace those lost to the emerald ash borer and hurricanes of 2017.

Comcast Cares Day is the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort and a powerful representation of Comcast NBCUniversal’s year-round commitment to community service. I have the privilege of working with a team to lead this effort, and this year for the first time, one of our focuses was working with the Arbor Day Foundation to restore communities devastated by natural disasters.

Everything we do releases energy, energy that is converted into carbon dioxide and released back into the atmosphere. Every time you switch on a light, turn on your computer, or drive your car, you’re emitting carbon. It may not seem like much, but collectively we’re leaving a giant carbon footprint, 6-7 billion metric tons of carbon annually to be exact. These emissions contribute to climate change, which is negatively affecting the environment.
