Diageo’s Plainfield Facility Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary

On July 29, Diageo’s Plainfield, Illinois facility celebrated its 50th anniversary with a festival for its employees and families and a ceremony attended by several government officials. Representative Randy Hultgren, representing the 14th District of Illinois, attended the 50th anniversary celebration and presented to the facility a flag that was flown over the United States Capitol in honor of Diageo Plainfield’s 50th anniversary, and will now be raised at the Plainfield Facility.

A 2015 survey conducted by Ernst & Young’s Global Generation Research found that 74 percent of respondents prioritize flexible work arrangements, including paid family leave. Employees are looking for, and even demanding, that work fits into daily life wherever possible and not the other way around.

This year, Learning Week included our annual R&ED Days. Learning Week is a global event organized in all the locations of Schneider Electric, both front offices and production sites. Employees participate in multiple training sessions, including webinars and in-person sessions led by HR BPs, Compliance Officers, and Principles of Responsibility Advisors.
