Astellas and Donate Life America Attempt to Achieve GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ Title for Organ Donor Registrations

To bring greater focus to the critical importance of organ donation, Astellas and Donate Life America will attempt to break the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for online organ donor registrations in an eight-hour period from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Daylight Time (CDT) on Saturday, Nov. 5. The record-breaking attempt will take place during the Astellas-sponsored New Zealand All Blacks and Irish Rugby Football Union match at Chicago’s Soldier Field.

Important News: New GRI Standard for Corporate Reporting Released to Replace GRI G4

The most commonly used sustainability reporting standard for corporate and institutional reporting on an organization’s economic, environmental and social/societal impacts - The Global Reporting Initiative's (“GRI”) framework - has now moved from the fourth generation (G4) to the new modular GRI Standards. To hear how Twin Cities news outlets are covering business stories involving environmental and social issues, 3BL Media will host a breakfast and networking forum for corporate, nonprofit and agency communications professionals on Dec. 14. Attendance is free.

21CF and National Geographic Launch Social Media Campaign for Leonardo DiCaprio's 'Before the Flood,' Donating $100,000 to Environmental Conservation

In honor of the upcoming worldwide commercial-free broadcast of Before the Flood, the new documentary from Academy Award winners Leonardo DiCaprio and Fisher Stevens exploring the global effects of climate change, 21st Century Fox and National Geographic have launched a new social media campaign to drive support for the conservation of endangered wildlife and ecosystems. For every use of the hashtag #BeforeTheFlood across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, as well as the Before the Flood custom Snapchat filter from October 24 to November 18, 21CF and National Geographic will together donate $1 to Pristine Seas and $1 to the Wildlife Conservation Society for a grant total of up to $100,000 ($50,000 to each organization).
