Each year during the holiday season, Domtar Paper Company and its Earth Choice program donates new winter coats to children throughout the community. This year, quality manager and Earth Choice ambassador Ryan Olaker and site manager Jerimy Huff visited Washington Middle School, bringing with them 65 brand new coats valued at $2,700.
Our annual Pajama Drive reached new heights this year with the help of CyberGrants new Viral Engagement features. This is the fourth consecutive year we've collected pajamas to donate to families in need, but the first year we've been able to use our Viral Engagement features to generate even more excitement among our employees about our effort. A live leaderboard intensified our usual friendly competition and the activity feed allowed employees to be more engaged by sharing photos and team updates.
Sands Cares, the corporate giving and community engagement program of Las Vegas Sands, is dedicated to being a good corporate citizen, committed to its people, communities in which it operates and the planet. In each region, Sands Cares has Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) leads that manage the program and execute initiatives unique to each region. Born and raised in Singapore, Joyce Siew graduated with a degree in English and Sociology and began her career in various communications related roles in both the public and private sector, before joining Marina Bay Sands’ communications and CSR team in 2012.
CIT Group Inc. today announced it will donate one and a half million meals[1] this holiday season in partnership with Feeding America®, exceeding the original goal of its One Million Meals campaign by 50 percent.

As part of its award-winning sustainability program, Sands ECO360, Las Vegas Sands remains committed to energy conservation at all of its properties around the world. In 2011, the sustainability team embarked on replacing lighting with LED light bulbs. The sustainability team created their own in-house testing labs where thousands of LED light bulbs were tested. They became experts on the topic and established a global implementation to all properties and currently, Las Vegas’ lighting is 80% LED, Marina Bay Sands is at 71% and Sands China Ltd. properties are at 95%.
As part of our commitment to our veterans and providing relief and finding solutions to end homelessness in Las Vegas, we continue to support Veterans Village and their housing project, The Village by Sands Cares.
