Center for Resource Solutions Announces 2015 Green Power Leadership Award Winners

Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) recognized four organizations and one individual today for their role in building and shaping the market for renewable energy over the past year. The award recipients were honored during the 2015 Green Power Leadership Awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Renewable Energy Markets 2015 conference taking place in Washington, D.C. from October 18–20th. The CRS Market Development Award category recognizes organizations and individual renewable energy leaders that have helped increase the demand for clean energy through their actions.

Wells Fargo Team Members Put Donations Behind Their Volunteer Support

Wells Fargo wrapped up another successful Community Support Campaign with team members pledging $69.7 million to 30,000 nonprofits and volunteering 300,000 hours during the September campaign. When campaign dollars are combined with contributions made throughout the year, team members donated more than $98 million in 2015 to causes they are passionate about.

Children’s Health Fund and Stanford Children’s Health Unveil New State-of the-Art Mobile Medical Unit

Underserved adolescents from San Francisco to San Jose will be the recipients of the most technologically advanced mobile healthcare following today’s unveiling of a new Children’s Health Fund mobile medical unit. Known as the Teen Health Van, the “doctor’s office on wheels” will feature Samsung’s innovative technology and be operated in partnership with Stanford Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Through a generous grant from Samsung, the program will provide advanced mobile health care for uninsured and homeless adolescents and young adults through state-of-the-art technology to serve the unique needs of this vulnerable population. Children’s health has also been a focus of the Samsung Hope for Children initiative since 2002.

Procter & Gamble to Make Iconic Brands Including Tide and Dawn with Wind Power

Procter & Gamble (P&G) announced today plans to meet its electricity demands by using 100 percent wind power to make iconic Fabric & Home Care brands, such as Tide and Dawn. This is possible thanks to a new partnership with EDF Renewable Energy (EDF RE) which will see a new Texas based wind farm generate 370,000 MWh of electricity each year. The wind farm will be fully operational in December 2016.
