(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Orlando, FL - February 9, 2012 - The University of Central Florida’s College of Medicine Spring 2012 incoming class will receive much more than their daily lectures from professors. For the second year in a row, Tupperware Brands will present the 80 students with a diverse selection of the Company’s innovative products along with a “welcome” crash course in how to live a more sustainable lifestyle.

Yolanda Londoño, Global Social Responsibility Vice President for the Orlando-based company, will be on hand to discuss Tupperware Brands’ commitment to the environment and social responsibility. “We are so much more than burping bowls. Our high-quality reusable products continue to evolve with the needs of today’s lifestyles, making it much easier for anyone, especially busy medical students, to save time, money and energy,” said Londoño.   Incorporating the Company’s well-known party demonstration concept, students will also have an interactive experience with Tupperware Brands own Chef Carol Stafford. Chef Carol will show the students how to prepare an easy healthy recipe while highlighting the products’ features and benefits. “This is a great way to kick-off the semester,” said Dr. Marcy Verduin, associate dean for students at the College of Medicine. “Not only are we passionate about providing an exceptional educational environment but we also want to encourage healthy lifestyle choices for our students and we are thankful to Tupperware for their generous offering.”   Each student will receive a Tupperware® SmartSteamer that allows for true steam cooking in the microwave, colorful re-useable water bottles, as well as on-the-go collapsible containers, a complete lunch bag set for transporting meals and leftovers and more. All of the products are designed for saving money, healthy eating and helping to safeguard the planet from disposable alternatives.   About Tupperware Brands Corporation Tupperware Brands Corporation is a portfolio of global direct selling companies, selling innovative, premium products across multiple brands and categories through an independent sales force of 2.8 million.
