Marina Bay Sands Receives Distinction Award for Innovative Approaches towards Waste Reduction
Marina Bay Sands has been honored with a Distinction Award at the biennial 3R Awards for Hotels for its innovative methods to minimize waste. In conjunction with the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), the award aims to recognize hotels that go the extra mile to practice the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) on their premises and within their operations.

Convention Industry Council Announces Results of UNLV Study Co-sponsored by Las Vegas Sands
The Convention Industry Council (CIC) has announced the results of a new research project, “Sustainable Meeting and Event Practices: The State of the Industry.” Study findings were presented at IMEX America, which took place at Sands Expo in Las Vegas from October 18 - 20. The study was co-sponsored by Las Vegas Sands, along with the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau.

At the end of September, members of Hotel Operations at The Palazzo participated in a volunteer event at Three Square, helping with the preparation of snacks and meals for the less fortunate. They aim to volunteer at two local organizations per year as a part of their efforts to give back.
