The philosophy of Fueling Good can be seen in all aspects of the CITGO brand. It means recognizing and rewarding those doing good in the CITGO community footprint. Safe operations and environmental stewardship are core values demonstrated year after year through industry recognition and awards for safety and environmental performance; coastal area cleanup and restoration; and large-scale e-recycling events. CITGO provides fuel to first responders, sponsors local food banks and helps rebuild and restore communities in the aftermath of disasters. Team CITGO employees clock an average of 11,000 volunteer hours each year and raise significant money for the United Way, MS Society, and other organizations. Along with its Marketers and Retailers, CITGO is the largest corporate sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association; and is the official fuel sponsor of the Boston Marathon. Today, CITGO Petroleum Corporation celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Bronx Social Program by announcing the 2017-2018 grant recipients. The 21 chosen programs were selected because of their efforts to serve the Bronx community through five focus areas, including arts and culture, education, empowering communities, environment and healthy living. CITGO and its charitable organization the Simón Bolívar Foundation created the Bronx Social Program in 2007 to provide grant opportunities to local nonprofit organizations dedicated to ensuring a brighter future for the South Bronx.

CITGO and Habitat for Humanity Rebuild and Restore Homes Following Hurricane Harvey
CITGO Petroleum Corporation is donating up to $1.4 million to Habitat for Humanity with the immediate goal of rebuilding approximately 22 homes in the Rockport, Texas community. The partnership is part of the CITGO Fueling Good. Rebuilding Lives. initiative, a larger effort dedicated to community recovery in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

CITGO and Rebuilding Together Houston Partnership Targets Hurricane Harvey Recovery
CITGO Petroleum Corporation is donating up to $6 Million to Rebuilding Together Houston with an immediate goal of repairing up to 300 homes in Houston’s Independence Heights community over the next three years, in addition to longer-term recovery efforts. The partnership is part of the CITGO Fueling Good. Rebuilding Lives. initiative, which is dedicated to recovery in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

New CITGO Program Will Help Rebuild Following Devastating Hurricane Season
CITGO Petroleum Corporation announced its Fueling Good. Rebuilding Lives. initiative today, which will contribute a percentage of CITGO gas station purchases at the pump to long-term recovery in the wake of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. For the next three months, 1 cent from every gallon of CITGO fuel purchased - up to $8 million - will be donated to qualified organizations that are helping local communities rebuild after the devastating impact of these natural disasters.

With this partnership, First Response Team of America, which aids communities between the onset of a natural disaster and the arrival of traditional relief agencies, will be able to continuously and reliably fuel its support vehicles as they travel the country assisting areas in need.
