(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) August 10, 2011 - In this year’s annual report, information on the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy has been fully integrated. The annual report includes the company’s CSR report, which has a declared Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) application level of B+. It also integrates the four CSR pillars in the rest of the report through color coding to serve as a constant reminder and to make the CSR information more accessible to readers.

The annual report is available in a print format and an interactive format, an innovation developed this year. The print version of the annual report features a narrative in Spanish with the financial statement available as a CD in both Spanish and English. The electronic financial statement is one of the company’s paper reduction efforts. Other paperless efforts include a reduction of the number of reports being printed as well as a 30 percent reduction of the actual size of report. The report will be printed on recycled paper that has received the FSC Seal and Rainforest Alliance Certified Seal of approval.   A cutting-edge innovation truly compatible with Banorte’s commitment to sustainability is the interactive version of the report, which will be published on the company’s website. The interactive report features multimedia elements such as video, motion graphics, and audio to create a more engaging experience for the users. Users can choose to consume information in a non-linear fashion, and they also have the ability to go back and forth between the interactive and the print versions of the report. This higher level of available options and interactivity encourages engagement, which in turn promotes better understanding and awareness. The interactive report is available in Spanish and English on http://192.100.234.15/pop_up/informe_interactivo/.   Through internal communication Banorte’s CEO recognized the interdepartmental efforts and excellent team work of those Departments and employees that collaborated in the performance of such annual report.   GFB16003
