CITGO Announces Donation to Assist Hurricane Harvey’s Relief Efforts in Corpus Christi and Surrounding Areas

CITGO Petroleum Corporation announced today that it has made a donation of $500,000 to the Coastal Bend Community Foundation to assist local authorities in providing services to those afflicted by the Hurricane’s devastating path. The donation is in addition to potable water and fuel the company has already donated to local residents and first responders.

A recent study performed for PANDORA by the environmental cost consultancy Trucost, sought to quantify and value the hidden positive and negative externalities of different materials used in our manufacturing. The study calculates the financial cost of environmental damage (such as health cost associated with pollution) to society from various materials and crafting methods. The study revealed that using recycled precious metals and man-made stones significantly reduces the environmental cost compared to mined materials due to less environmental damage.

Cox Enterprises Achieves 100,000 Ton Recycling Milestone
