JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU), New York’s Hometown Airline®, today launched its ninth annual Soar with Reading initiative in its hometown, marking the first time its innovative free book vending machines have touched down in New York City.
Duke Energy recently joined with local community groups to assemble and distribute storm preparedness kits to about 4,000 seniors, some of Florida’s most vulnerable residents. The program expanded across the state after a 2018 pilot in Pinellas County that reached 1,000 homebound seniors in the Meals on Wheels program.
National Grid and its employees have once again joined forces to help support 35 United Way chapters throughout the company’s US service area. This year, more than 4,500 National Grid employees pledged more than $1.4 million to the United Way campaign.
Twenty-five years ago, what started as a small science camp celebration with just 140 children has exploded into a multi-state STEM experience for more than 5,000 kids in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.
