Sodexo Stop Hunger Foundation recently recognized Ian McKenna, also known as The Giving Gardener, age 12, from Austin, TX for driving awareness and being a catalyst for eliminating hunger in his community. Ian created The Giving Garden. The program grows school and community gardens so children in need can take home fresh fruits and vegetables to their families. Ian’s amazing efforts earned him a 2016 Stephen J. Brady Stop Hunger Scholarship as well as an additional $5000 grant for winning the Hunger Squad video competition.
