In the United States, 15.9% of people are food insecure, meaning they do not have access to a sufficient source of food.

1 in 4 kids in the U.S. could face hunger this year because of the coronavirus. To support these children, Cheerios donated $1.3 million to No Kid Hungry and is now continuing its mission to inspire acts of good with the help of Jerry Harris.

CIT Group Inc. (CIT) today announced that it has made a donation to provide enough fresh food for 100,000 meals to Table to Table, a community-based food rescue program that redistributes would-be wasted food to those in need.

Feeding America has made it easier for food banks in its network to take advantage of its MealConnect platform by making it automatically available in every zip code of the country.

Hormel Foods Canada is donating more than 75,000 pounds of Hormel Gatherings® party trays to Second Harvest, Canada’s largest food recovery organization, to help to feed families in need during these extraordinary times.

These donations were valued at over $100 million and included nearly 16 million pounds of fresh produce and approximately six million pounds of fresh dairy products.
