VSP Global’s Eyes of Hope Celebrates Helping 1 Million Adults and Children In Need See, Commits to Reaching “A Million More” by 2020

Today, VSP Global® announced that 1 million adults and children in need have received no-cost eye exams and glasses through Eyes of Hope, the company’s initiative to increase access to eye care and eyewear where it’s needed most. Since 1997, VSP Global businesses have invested nearly $175 million in products and services for people disadvantaged by income, natural disaster or distance to care.

The 15th Annual Charities@Work Best Practices Summit on Employee Engagement in Corporate Citizenship, held on March 28-30 at the New York Marriott Marquis, will showcase the latest advances in employee engagement, workplace giving and corporate social responsibility (CSR), including the use of virtual reality technology to build empathy and deepen the connection among a nonprofit’s donors. Conference participants will even have an opportunity to individually test drive virtual reality technology through the use of Oculus Rift virtual reality headsets. National Recognition for Art Therapy through AATA's Partnership with Americans for the Arts

On March 7 & 8, 2016, AATA Executive Director Cynthia Woodruff, and President Dr. Donna Betts, ATR-BC, represented the American Art Therapy Association (AATA) at the Arts Advocacy Day National Arts Action Summit. This annual event provides attendees with advocacy training and an opportunity to attend coordinated visits with Members of Congress. Hosted by Americans for the Arts in partnership with over 85 national arts-related organizations, Arts Advocacy Day is the largest gathering of its kind, bringing together a broad variety of the nation’s civic and cultural groups. Grassroots advocates from across the country came to Washington to garner support for issues related to funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), arts education policy, and more.
