Executives from Comcast Corporation and Comcast’s Western New England Region recently held a virtual summit on the topic of veterans to raise awareness of the impact the digital divide has on them.

Each vet presents their entrepreneurial concept to a panel of business executives – winners receive cash prizes. Bunker Labs – a non-profit organization with a mission of ensuring the military connected community has the network tools they need to start successful ventures – hosts the tour.

Jose Hernandez, a former U.S. Army Special Forces paratrooper who now works at T-Mobile, talks about the family-like mindset he shared with his fellow soldiers, how his job keeps him on his toes, and the work T-Mobile does to support veterans.

Chris, an Alkermes employee who has been involved with the Veteran community since retiring from the Marines, understands the challenges of those who struggle with addiction.

Mohawk is proud to partner with the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to provide flooring for smart homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured veterans.

The program will encompass Smithfield's 3 veteran-related focus areas: prioritizing veteran employment & career development; helping power veteran-owned businesses; and strengthening the community & family support systems veterans rely on every day.

The Hormel Heroes Scholarship Program, created by Hormel Foods to support students with military backgrounds pursuing degrees in culinary arts or foodservice management, is administered by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
