One event taking place to empower people within the community is Philly Fighting Asian Hate, taking place at the Rail Park in Philadelphia, on May 22-23. It aims to educate and empower the AAPI community through self-awareness and self-defense.
In 2017, Taproot Foundation set out to deepen the impact of pro bono service. With the launch of our Campaigns, we’re now forging new directions in how to use pro bono service to address our most pressing global challenges, to purposefully develop our nonprofit and for-profit leaders, and to flexibly respond to the ever-changing needs of nonprofit organizations.
On April 26, as part of our annual U.S. Pro Bono Summit, we’re hosting Bridging the Technology Divide: Using Human Capital to Drive Nonprofit Technology Fluency, Adoption, and Use. Together we’ll dig into the complexity and nuances of technology challenges among social change organizations and co-design how we can better utilize technology expertise moving forward.

Now in its 11th year, Good Deeds Day is a global day of service that unites more than 1.5 million people from 93 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. Through this partnership, Points of Light seeks to reach and inspire more individuals in communities across the United States and around the world, and to build more cohesive action and alignment across its global network.
