Las Vegas Sands and Clean the World have announced a first-of-its-kind service in Las Vegas to help homeless people. The Sands Cares Fresh Start Mobile Showers Powered by Clean the World is a traveling hygiene unit that visits locations serving the homeless to provide showers, hygiene supplies and other resources.

As a medic herself, she had become frustrated with nurses and doctors who never introduced themselves to her before providing medical care.
Since 1998, Aflac independent sales agent Gail Moeder has volunteered with Camp Hope - Heartland in Great Bend, Kansas, a nonprofit camp supporting families living with, through and beyond cancer. Volunteers from Subaru of America Inc., the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners and Lambs Farm spent the day recently building garden beds, transporting soil, planting and topping the gardens with straw to create Lambs Farm's first sustainable garden.

In an effort to provide the community with accessible horticulture, Sands Cares and Sands ECO360 recently partnered with Penn State Extension, Lehigh and Northampton County 4-H and the Community Action Development Corporation of Bethlehem to build planting beds for the Lynfield Community Center in Bethlehem, PA.
Back in 2013, I joined the Alliance to End Hunger after a decade as a corporate lobbyist. As with any major life change, this one had implications on our family routines. One night over dinner, my husband and I talked about my new job with our children — then 8- and 6-years old. That evening at bedtime, my daughter, Sarah, said thoughtfully, “But Mommy, if you end hunger you won’t have a job anymore.” My response to her was “And wouldn’t that be wonderful.”
Earlier this month, members of the Arrow Electronics Toronto-based sales team donated their time to cook and serve dinner for more than 150 people at the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) location in downtown Toronto.
