Carter Work Project Twitter Party

Please join us on Thursday, June 29, for a Twitter Party celebrating Habitat’s Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project, which will be held this year at sites throughout Canada in early July. President and Mrs. Carter and hundreds of volunteers will build alongside 150 future homeowners, all in celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary.

Habitat for Humanity Awarded $4.8 Million to Fund 350 AmeriCorps Member Positions

The Corporation for National and Community Service has awarded Habitat for Humanity $4,887,750 in funds to support 350 AmeriCorps National member positions for 2017-2018. The funds will support Habitat AmeriCorps members who will serve in 36 states and in Washington, D.C.

This quarter, we’re highlighting the work of the Irish International Immigrant Center (IIIC), Boston’s Welcome Center for immigrant families, and who are working towards a shared society where all are welcomed and valued, and enjoy equal opportunities and protections. IIIC assists immigrant and refugee families from around the world as they integrate into American society. They do so by providing legal, wellness and education services, advocating for systemic change, and facilitating cross-cultural community building.

Keep Phoenix Beautiful Launches Crowd Fundraiser for New Community Garden

A new garden is coming to life in Phoenix! Keep Phoenix Beautiful is launching a crowdsourcing campaign to raise $25,000 for their new Keep Phoenix Beautiful Community Garden. Funds raised will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Keep America Beautiful and Lowe’s, up to $25,000, bringing the potential total amount to invest in sustainable practices here in Central Phoenix and nationwide to $50,000. JetBlue's Technical Operations Team Builds Bikes for Kids in Foster Care

Last month, JetBlue honored the memory of Charles E. Taylor, the father of aviation maintenance, with celebrations at its 11 maintenance facilities and New York City Support Center. In the second annual JetBlue For Good Bike Build, JetBlue’s Technical Operations and Corporate Social Responsibility teams partnered to build 275 bikes that were donated to children in the foster care system. JetBlue crewmembers are aiming to build and donate 500 bikes next year.
