In celebration of Earth Month this April, eBay for Charity has partnered with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a non-profit organization that is working to safeguard the earth, on a campaign with an incredible selection of inventory and experiences that will benefit our planet!

Earth Day is April 22, and hundreds of National Grid employees will volunteer in communities across the three states the company serves in the coming weeks. Each year National Grid commits to sponsor Earth Day events throughout its service territory in Massachusetts, New York, and Rhode Island.

The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation has helped create 1,000 community gardens across America. Here’s the story of one of those gardens, the 4th Street Farms in Columbus, Ohio.

The Arbor Day Foundation and The Hershey Company are pleased to announce a reforestation partnership focusing on repairing national forests damaged by species invasions, resource extraction and forest fires in Kentucky, Florida and Virginia. The 133,333 trees planted benefit the Paul Van Booven Wildlife Area (KY), South Quay Sandhills Preserve (VA) and the Sansavilla Wildlife Management Area (GA).

We’ve seen firsthand how gardens transform communities, but even more so, people’s lives. Here’s the story of one of those gardens, the Cambridge Community Garden in Cambridge, New York.

Even the land itself (called the right-of-way) can multi-task! This year, Georgia will deploy a one-megawatt solar farm in and along the shoulder of The Ray, following successful pilots in Oregon and Massachusetts.

Consulting Engineers of Alberta (CEA) presented Tetra Tech (EBA) with an Environmental Award of Merit at the CEA Showcase Awards Gala, an event attended by more than 500 industry leaders in February 2017. The Showcase Awards recognize excellence in consulting engineering in Alberta and throughout the world. Tetra Tech received the Environmental Award of Merit for its work with Newalta Corporation to design a closure approach for a former oilfield waste land treatment facility south of Drayton Valley, Alberta.

The Arbor Day Foundation has announced today that David Forsell has been awarded the Foundation’s J. Sterling Morton Award which recognizes an individual who has had a positive impact on the environment due to his or her lifelong commitment to tree planting and conservation. The individual will have demonstrated a commitment to advancing tree planting and care through a record of education, work experience, talent and temperament.
