The Arbor Day Foundation and The Hershey Company are pleased to announce a reforestation partnership focusing on repairing national forests damaged by species invasions, resource extraction and forest fires in Kentucky, Florida and Virginia. The 133,333 trees planted benefit the Paul Van Booven Wildlife Area (KY), South Quay Sandhills Preserve (VA) and the Sansavilla Wildlife Management Area (GA).

Sterling Morton Award which recognizes an individual who has had a positive impact on the environment due to his or her lifelong commitment to tree planting and conservation. The individual will have demonstrated a commitment to advancing tree planting and care through a record of education, work experience, talent and temperament.
April 27, 2018 marks the 146th celebration of Arbor Day. A holiday established in 1872 in Nebraska City to inspire people to plant trees, it became a national holiday in 1972.
