CBRE Korea's Annual Walk for a Wish Charity Event

Launched in Asia Pacific in 2010, CBRE’s annual “Walk for a Wish” takes place in the third week of each year and is part of a wider “Wellness Week” initiative in which the company promotes the wellbeing of the mind, body and environment through a series of internal activities. Walk For a Wish involves our employees, clients and other stakeholders from over 22 countries in the region including Australia, China, Japan and Hong Kong. The event has raised over US $1.8 million to date and this year, CBRE Korea raised about 5 million won for the soul Senior Welfare Center in Jongro-Ju, Seoul.

World AIDS Day 2018: Together We Are Stronger

World AIDS Day takes place on December 1 each year. The day was first recognized in 1988 to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic, show support for people living with HIV and remember those who died of AIDS-related causes. Our commitment to fighting HIV and AIDS began in 1986 in the San Francisco Bay Area when we started to see HIV/AIDS affecting our employees and communities first hand. A few years later, our company recognized that some of our largest operations were in areas where the grip of AIDS was growing rapidly.

100 New Young Leaders Join the Journey Towards Zero Hunger

Bayer is excited to announce that it has selected the 100 participants, coming from 45 countries, for the fourth edition of the Youth Ag Summit. The 2019 Summit will take place in Brasilia, Brazil from November 4-6, in partnership with Nuffield Brazil.

As Tornadoes and Floods Continue, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Walmart.Org Announce Additional Commitment for Disaster Relief in the Midwest and South, Bringing Total Support to $500,000

In response to the record floods and tornados that have continued to impact Midwestern and Southern states this spring, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Walmart.org have committed to provide an additional $150,000 in support through cash and product donations, building on earlier commitments in March and early May and bringing the total support commitment to $500,000.

Scotiabank Continues Its Support of the SickKids-Caribbean Initiative with a New $1 Million Donation

in support of the SickKids Herbie Fund, Scotiabank announced a new $1 million donation to support Phase Two of the SickKids-Caribbean Initiative, a project with a goal of helping to build a sustainable program to diagnose and treat paediatric cancer and serious blood disorders in the Caribbean. The initiative – in which Scotiabank is recognized as the Telemedicine Partner – connects doctors at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto with doctors in six countries in the Caribbean to help improve – and in many cases, save the lives of young people.

Scotiabank Supports Children in Latin America Through Fútbol

Internationally, we leverage fútbol as a means to encourage positive youth development. Through our Scotiabank Fútbol Club programs, we reach over 450,000 kids across Latin American and the Caribbean. One of these programs is Campeonato Infantil (Youth Championships and Leagues), which runs across Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay and reaches over 25,000 children on over 1,800 community teams.

The VF Foundation (the charitable arm of VF Corporation) and the Timberland® and Wrangler® brands today announced $150,000 in grants to researchers at seven US universities — including Arizona State University and Michigan State University — that are conducting the first comprehensive research into regenerative ranching practices.

Timberland x SFA Hold Haiti ‘Agricultural Revolution’ Event

Timberland and the Smallholder Farmers Alliance, the collaboration behind a project to reintroduce cotton to Haiti after a 30-year hiatus, are set to hold an event in New York to discuss the project. February saw the groundbreaking project’s first commercial cotton harvest, marking a landmark moment in the initiative which has had positive agricultural, economic and social ramifications throughout the island nation’s communities.
