Árvai’s research clearly shows that education and decision support, aimed at the public and policy makers, is not the lost cause that many followers of the culture wars think it is.

In August 2016, Las Vegas Sands hosted a group of new teachers through Teach for America Las Vegas Valley for a meet-and-greet with local executives from Las Vegas Sands.

Through Sands Academy, Las Vegas Sands provides Team Members with an outstanding working environment, extensive training and other opportunities to advance in the hospitality industry.

Clean the World recently launched Soap in Schools in Las Vegas, a program in partnership with Sands Cares. Started in January 2016, the program has run domestically in Orlando, Florida and internationally in Kenya and Tanzania, expanding to India and Haiti 2017.

Maybe I’m being too idealistic—after all, it’s just a paycheck, right? But because of who I am, that’s not how I think about the 40 (who am I kidding, it’s way more than 40) hours that I spend working each week. And what do I work for? To make an impact—one that’s greater than anything I could accomplish as an individual. I start with me, then my team, then how an organization with 19,000 individuals—who are working with more than 1 million customers all around the world to solve some of the toughest problems—how can you not think about impact?

The visit by the 14 students from the Elizabeth Conradie School in Kimberley, organised in collaboration with the Department of Education, was the idea of an employee of De Beers Sightholder Sales South Africa (DBSSA), Jabulani Cindi, himself disabled.

This summer, thousands of minority middle school boys in 16 cities nationwide will head to college campuses to learn skills like mobile app development, 3D design, creating and flying drones, and developing virtual reality and augmented reality experiences as a part of Verizon Innovative Learning.

Generation Hope is giving teen parents the support that they need to become college graduates and professionals who will greatly impact the world that we live in.
