Today, hundreds of companies, innovators, universities, cities, and affiliates — including Schneider Electric — have joined the MacArthur Foundation’s Circular Economy 100, which brings together stakeholders from across disciplines to develop collaborative solutions to pressing economic and resource constraints. In a circular economic model, systems, procedures, facilities, and practices are created and managed in such a way that they can continue indefinitely, without exhausting the natural resources upon which they depend.

At Merck for Mothers, we believe that actionable research is essential for taking on maternal mortality. On behalf of our team and many partners, we are pleased to share Evidence for Impact, our first Research Compendium. The publications included in this compendium advance our collective understanding of the problem of maternal mortality, inform the design and implementation of programs aiming to improve women’s health, and strengthen the global health community of practice to save women’s lives.

Las Vegas Sands is the leader in sustainability within the hospitality industry. Through Sands ECO360, its global sustainability program, the company implements strategic initiatives that minimize its environmental footprint on the planet. Since setting the five-year goals in 2015, the program has made outstanding progress detailed in its 2017 Environmental Progress Report.

GRI’s new task force is looking for solutions to support companies that are making their supply chains more transparent through sustainability reporting. It is gratifying to work for a company genuinely committed to the wellbeing of the world and its citizens. Part of my role at BNY Mellon is to help determine where we can use our resources for the most positive, tangible impact. We do this by studying global trends, responding through our CSR strategy and supporting achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals that aim to address the world’s most pressing needs. As you’ve can see in our 2017 CSR Report, we believe we can make a real difference by focusing on gender equality, climate change and the effects of technology, globalization and the changing workforce.

In 2007, after HanesBrands broke off from Sara Lee, Fox was tasked with spearheading the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. As part of reinventing the culture at the newly formed company, the entire work force—at every level, in every function—became increasingly accountable for sustainable, ethical production of apparel.

April and May have been successful months for Schneider Electric, ranked twice for its corporate responsibility by non-financial rating agencies; ISS-Oekom and Vigeo Eiris. With 25 years experience on conducting an annual report on sustainability in corporate management, ISS-Oekom featured Schneider Electric as leader of the Electronic Components and one of top 6 French leader companies of their sectors among with: Valeo, Peugeot, Amundi, CNP Assurances, and Sanofi on ISS-Oekom Corporate Responsibility Review 2018.
