Cargill Signs CEO Letter to President Trump: Stay in Paris Climate Agreement

With their open letter, the CEOs weigh in as the administration considers backing out of the climate pact, which aims to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. “Based on our vast experience doing business all over the world, we believe there is strong potential for negative trade implications if the United States exits from the Paris Agreement,” they said, making a strong stand for trade, economic growth and innovation.

Transforming Technology Pro Bono: New Tool for Nonprofits Released by Taproot Foundation and VMware Foundation

The median technology budget of nonprofits is less than 2% of each organization’s total operating budget, and most nonprofits are not confident that they have enough skilled staff or training to effectively use technology, according to NTEN’s 9th Annual Nonprofit Technology Staffing & Investments Report. This is in stark comparison with the ubiquitous adoption and use of technology in the for-profit sector. With the goal of bridging this technology divide, the Taproot Foundation, in collaboration with VMware Foundation, released a new nonprofit-focused tool entitled Transforming Technology Pro Bono at Taproot’s annual U.S. Pro Bono Summit on April 26.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. today announced that it will expand the firm’s commitment to Detroit’s economic recovery, expecting it to reach $150 million by 2019. The announcement comes as the firm exceeded its initial $100 million, five-year investment two years ahead of schedule.

The Koninklijk Concertgebouw of the Netherlands to Be Preserved and Protected by AkzoNobel Products

AkzoNobel has become a sponsor of Het Koninklijk Concertgebouw, the Royal Concert Hall of the Netherlands, for a period of five years. As part of the collaboration, over the coming years AkzoNobel will help conserve the monumental concert hall in Amsterdam with paint and decorative products from its Sikkens brand.
