IBM Wins 2015 Alliance to Save Energy Chairman's Award

IBM uses energy across its business to deliver products, services and solutions to our clients around the world. In order to be competitive and minimize our environmental impacts, we strive to reduce the energy we consume and the associated carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions as we deliver innovation that matters to our clients. In 2014, IBM reduced or avoided the consumption of 404,000 megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy and an associated 142,000 metric tons (MT) of CO2 emissions, while saving $37.4 million through the execution of over 2,200 energy conservation projects. These energy conservation savings were equivalent to 6.7 percent of IBM’s 2014 energy consumption, exceeding our goal of 3.5 percent.

Intel's Marty Sedler Wins 2015 Green Power Leader of the Year Award

Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) presented Marty Sedler, Intel's Director of Global Utilities and Infrastructure, with the "Green Power Leader of the Year" Green Power Leadership Award yesterday honoring his over two decades of advocacy for renewable energy development and adoption. In his role at Intel, Sedler is responsible for energy supply and infrastructure for all company facilities, as well as Intel's purchasing, installation, and strategy in its global renewable energy policy.

Center for Resource Solutions Announces 2015 Green Power Leadership Award Winners

Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) recognized four organizations and one individual today for their role in building and shaping the market for renewable energy over the past year. The award recipients were honored during the 2015 Green Power Leadership Awards ceremony held in conjunction with the Renewable Energy Markets 2015 conference taking place in Washington, D.C. from October 18–20th. The CRS Market Development Award category recognizes organizations and individual renewable energy leaders that have helped increase the demand for clean energy through their actions.
