August 27, 2015 /3BL Media/ - “It is important to Grupo Financiero Banorte to listen to and maintain an open dialogue with its stakeholders,” stated Mayra Hernández, Executive Director of Social Responsibility. That is why we seek a positive impact with each one of our decisions, decisions that we have transformed into various actions and initiatives in response to social issues relevant to our stakeholders. Among the main social initiatives undertaken in 2014, those that stood out were:

  • Development of Human capital: convinced that our human capital is the key to our success and is undoubtedly the great strength that moves Grupo Financiero Banorte, in 2014, an average of 25 hours of training per employee was provided to strengthen their skills in addition to the 13,538 hours on policies and procedures in the field of human rights provided to both staff in general (64%) and to Management and Security personnel (76%).
  • Employee satisfaction: for a fifth consecutive year Banorte has been rated as a Great Place to Work (GPTW). In addition to this, we have created a Cultural Model department responsible for coordinating and analyzing the results of the GPTW survey. In 2014, we also integrated and institutionalized channels with the aim of communicating with employees in real time.
  • Through Fundación Banorte, we work every day mainly for women’s economic rights, with funds comprised of 1% of Grupo Financiero Banorte’s profits, and as a result support 54 organizations, mobilizing resources of Ps 53,395,282 and providing direct support to 391,786 beneficiaries in 23 states of the country.
  • Additionally, the area of Social Responsibility continues to work on our institutional programs such as Jugando Jugando which collected 40,710 toys benefiting 39,466 children; and Ayudamos where Ps 1,920,401.18 in resources was mobilized to provide support to 11 organizations, with 23,743 indirect beneficiaries.
