How to Collaborate for Better Impact through Employee Volunteering

Corporate volunteering plays an increasingly significant role as a positive vehicle for business involvement in local and international sustainable development initiatives. It spurs innovation, increases the skills and engagement of employees, establishes mutually beneficial relationships with communities, promotes economic growth, leads to more stable societies, fosters the health and prosperity of communities, and makes it easier to do business.

Join us on this webinar to explore the importance of mapping the capacity of employee volunteering in your region or city to achieve meaningful impact. We'll present a case study with the report: Investing for the Future: The Practice and Potential of Employee Volunteering in the UAE.

THE ISSUE

Currently, there is limited insight as to the scale, scope, and overall practice of employee volunteering around the world. In order to properly assess the capacity and potential of the private sector to address regional social and environmental issues through the voluntary efforts of employees, the following questions must be addressed at a regional level:

  • What companies currently have some form of employee volunteering?
  • What is the valuation of employee volunteering as part of overall corporate community investment?
  • How many other companies are likely to develop a formal employee volunteering program supported by broader corporate community investments?
  • What is the current awareness of, and/or active alignment to, regional issues across employee volunteering programs?
  • What are the barriers to increasing the capacity of employee volunteering programs to address social and environmental piorities in a region?
