Connect To Good

We at AT&T are continually inspired by the next generation of digital storytellers – the teachers and students who are using the power of technology to create engaging, innovative and compelling classroom projects.

Over the last 6 weeks, we’ve watched as teachers and students from across the country – 46 states to be exact – submitted their projects to the AT&T Digital Storytelling Challenge Presented by DonorsChoose.org.

I was hugely inspired by the entries we received: a California classroom on a quest to create digital stop motion stories with strong female leads. A group of Florida students with the goal of designing, writing, acting out and posting mock interviews with great leaders from history. Ninety special needs students in a Michigan school enriching their community through short stories using American Sign Language.

In total, we received more than 870 eligible digital storytelling projects. And I’m proud to say AT&T matched each and every dollar raised – all with the goal of bringing these ideas to life.

But we’re not stopping there.

We’ve narrowed these projects down to the top 30, and now it’s up to you. Starting today, we’re asking the public to vote for their favorite. Head over to the DonorsChoose.org voting page or text the team name of your choice to 50555*. A full list of team names can found here. You have until 11:59pm EST on May 11 to do so.

The top 10 projects to get the most votes will receive a DonorsChoose.org gift card worth at least $5,000 to help bring their projects to life and share their learnings with students throughout the country.
