January 29, 2015 /3BL Media/ - The lineup for NAEM’s EHS and Sustainability Software Conference on Feb. 24-25 will include user demonstrations by 15 corporate customers, NAEM announced this week. NAEM Program Director Mike Mahanna said the event is the best opportunity to meet with the leading solution providers in one place and to hear from fellow users who have implemented these systems.

“Since the late 1990s, NAEM has been tracking the evolution in data management systems for managing EHS and sustainability programs,” he said. “Our expertise ensures that no other conference provides the type of peer-led user demonstrations, best practice case studies and substantial conversation on how to assess software needs for an EHS and sustainability organization.”

The conference will also feature a keynote presentation by Anna Pierce, Program Analytics Manager of Global Operations for Environment, Health & Safety at General Electric Co., and a presentation of research findings from NAEM’s benchmark on how companies are approaching their software purchase.

Based on survey results from more than 180 in-house corporate leaders, the biannual benchmark report addresses common questions for software purchasers, including: business objectives, system maturity, average peer spending and expected implementation plan. It also captures user satisfaction and implementation advice from past purchasers.

For those who want to conduct in-person benchmarking, NAEM will host a pre-conference on Feb. 23 for in-house EHS and sustainability professionals only. The breakout sessions are: “The Top Questions Your IT Department Wants you to Ask” and “Lessons Learned from a Recent MIS Purchaser.”

NAEM’s EHS & Sustainability Software conference will take place at the Westin Tampa Harbour Island in Tampa, Fla. For more information, please visit http://ehsmis.naem.org/index.php.
