Timberland Global President Jim Pisani recently signed the Camber Outdoors CEO Pledge, committing to innovate and transform the active-outdoor industry by accelerating women’s participation and leadership. Camber Outdoors, formerly the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC), is the only national organization dedicated to achieving equality for women in the active-outdoor industries.

For global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland, community is a key pillar for corporate responsibility along with making products responsibly and protecting and restoring the outdoors. Employees receive up to 40 paid hours per year to participate in service to their community, and have served more than one million hours to date. At the company’s Stratham, New Hampshire world headquarters, messaging boards throughout the building proudly display Timberland’s heritage of service and promote new ways for employees to engage in the community.

At the start of each year, we take time to reflect upon the prior year to ensure we don’t lose sight of the lessons we learned. From launching innovative product partnerships that benefit society and celebrating milestone environmental achievements, to helping those in need by rallying our employees and sharing our commitment to do more for green spaces, we celebrated progress and overcame challenges in 2016. Timberland's Victory Garden Cultivates Community Impact
Outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland recently celebrated the close of the ninth consecutive harvest season of its Victory Garden, a plot of fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers outside the company’s Stratham, New Hampshire headquarters. Each year, a dedicated group of Timberland employee volunteers manage and cultivate the 1,000 square foot area of raised garden beds.

Timberland Cuts Over Half of Emissions Since 2006
Following the release of data compiled for its Q2 CSR report, outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland shared that the company has met and exceeded its 2015 goal to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. This achievement is a part of the company's commitment to innovate and operate in an accountable and responsible manner in terms of its products, the outdoors and communities around the world. Timberland reports the company has reduced GHG emissions by 53 percent, exceeding its target of 50 percent for 2015.
