The Ray's Smart Road Dot Named Fast Company 2018 World Changing Ideas Award Finalist
Fast Company announced the winners of its World Changing Ideas Awards, which honor businesses, policies, projects, and concepts that offer innovative solutions to the issues facing humanity. The Ray’s smart road dot was selected for recognition as a World Changing Ideas finalist.

Getting Down to Business: Industry Leaders Announce Start of Georgia International Business Park
Leaders from some of the biggest businesses in the country gathered in LaGrange City Hall on Thursday to discuss the creation of what will be the biggest industrial park in the southeast in terms of size, employees and investment in the community. “There are a hundred manufacturers in Troup County that operate in this park, and we have more Fortune 500 companies operating here than anywhere in the U.S.”

Recycled Rubber Paves the Way to the Future in Troup County, Georgia
This week, Troup County will complete the paving of the county’s first “rubber road” on the new Tom Hall Parkway. The project used over 32,000 pounds of recycled tire rubber (RTR) in the top layer or “wearing course” of the road, which represents the rubber taken from over 2,500 end of life passenger tires.

Anderson Foundation will grant an additional $2 million to The Ray over the next two years for research, pilot projects and innovative technologies that have the potential to shape transportation infrastructure. The foundation carries on the legacy of Ray C. Anderson, founder and former chair of Interface Inc., a flooring company committed to sustainability.
