Hospitalized Children Experience a ‘Moment of Magic’ Thanks to a College Student with a Big Heart

When Kylee McGrane sat down with her family to watch Frozen, it gave her a great idea – and she just couldn’t let it go. Realizing that she looked like Elsa and that her best friend, Maggie McAndrew, looked like Anna, she had an “a-ha moment” that would become her next service project: she wanted to start visiting hospitals as the princesses from Frozen.

Volkswagen Group of America’s Young Professionals Employee Resource Group supports Fauquier Habitat for Humanity building a new home

Recently, 25 members of the Volkswagen Group of America Young Professionals Employee Resource Group (YP ERG) supported Fauquier Habitat for Humanity to construct a new home for a young couple and their Labrador mix in Huntly, Va. The YP ERG members used their volunteer day, a company provided paid day off to serve in the community, to install windows and doors, add structural elements and raise a shed.

Unity Spans the Globe for Viacommunity Day’s 21st Year

In an enormous show of support for local communities around the world, more than 4,000 Viacom employees threw themselves into the 21st annual Viacommunity Day last Friday. It was themed as a day of unity, bringing employees from every part of the company together at more than 150 projects sites across the United States and more than a dozen other nations, a collective effort that underscored Viacom’s unwavering dedication to putting our resources, skills, energies and collective will toward improving our communities.
