Arcos Dorados, Latin America’s largest restaurant chain and the world’s largest independent McDonald's franchisee, announced that it will substitute the plastic trays currently used by its guests with trays made from more sustainable materials, further advancing its commitment to positively impact the environment. This initiative takes part in the company’s Recipe for the Future framework, thru which, in 2018, it began a plastic reduction program that has allowed it to remove more than 1,300 tons of this material from its operation.

Novartis Renews WHO Medicine Donation Pledge With Aim of Ending Leprosy

A renewed partnership agreement signed by Novartis and the World Health Organization (WHO) will drive the global push towards making leprosy history. The five-year extension of the partnership – which was first signed in 2000 – will see Novartis continue to donate multidrug therapy (MDT) medicines to treat leprosy up to the end of 2025.
