JPMorgan Chase Launches $125 Million, Five-Year Initiative to Drive Economic Opportunity in Disadvantaged Neighborhoods

JPMorgan Chase & Co. today launched PRO Neighborhoods, a $125 million, five-year initiative to identify and support solutions for creating economic opportunity in disadvantaged neighborhoods around the country. The new initiative will invest in collaborative partnerships and innovative financial solutions to revitalize neighborhoods by growing small businesses, creating health and social service facilities, improving access to affordable housing and collecting better data to study changing neighborhood demographics.

PATH Foundation Kicks Off “Realizing the Vision” Capital Campaign

The PATH Foundation is celebrating its 25th anniversary with plans to add 37 new miles of trails. The organization is seeking to raise $15.8 million in private funds through a recently-launched fundraising campaign. The campaign will leverage more than $34 million in public funding for a total investment of $50 million in new trail projects. To encourage community support, the James M. Cox Foundation has committed $6 million to the effort.

Syrian refugees in Lebanon suffering from chronic diseases face difficulties accessing diagnosis, medicines and ongoing care. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and Novartis are partnering to improve care and treatment for the most vulnerable population in Lebanon. The objective is to establish a blueprint for improving diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for refugees, as well as members of their Lebanese host families, who suffer from chronic diseases.
