In February of 2016, we committed $3 million over three years to SeriousFun Children’s Network. Our support will enable nearly 1,000 children, many with rare diseases, to attend SeriousFun’s transformative camps and programs free of charge. This is a look at our partnership in year two!
Employees from Xylem, a leading global water technology company that is dedicated to solving the world’s most challenging water issues, logged more than 35,800 volunteer hours in 2017, participating in activities aimed at providing and protecting safe water resources in communities and educating people about water issues. Xylem Watermark, the company’s corporate citizenship platform, launched a service-focused employee engagement program in 2016 in support of this mission with a goal of logging 100,000 volunteer hours by the end of 2018. This year’s achievement brings the total number of volunteer hours to nearly 57,000, more than halfway to that goal.
The RBIS team in New York City was looking for a way to connect with the kids in their community. They discovered The Pajama Program, a NYC-based nonprofit (with chapters across the U.S.) whose mission statement asserts,

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to attend and participate in the 2018 Points of Light Corporate Service Council (CSC) Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. Those of us who arrived on Sunday January 14th were invited to the Annual Martin Luther King Sunday Supper, which encourages corporate and civic leaders to break bread and barriers by having open conversations about topics currently affecting their community.
KeyBank will host its annual Super Refund Saturday event on February 3, 2018, partnering with organizations in nine communities to provide free tax season and post-tax season support. For 13 years on Super Refund Saturday, KeyBank employees have worked alongside volunteers from community organizations to provide free tax preparation services to those who need it most, helping low- to moderate-income individuals and families determine their eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).
Rebuilding Together will host the 23rd annual community revitalization project, Kickoff to Rebuild, on Friday, February 2 leading up to Super Bowl LII weekend. This Super Bowl-sanctioned event will take place in the Tilsenbilt neighborhood of Minneapolis; the first neighborhood in Minneapolis to end housing discrimination in the 1950s.
Last year, global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Path of ServiceTM volunteer program, which offers employees up to 40 paid hours each year to serve in their communities. The brand finished the year strong by engaging employees at its Stratham, New Hampshire headquarters to serve 200 families through the annual Holiday Giving Tree. Other year-end service events included sorting and wrapping donated toys at Seacoast Adopt-A-Block, a local non-profit that serves low-income families, and serving meals with Gather, a New Hampshire food pantry.
Whirlpool Corporation employees volunteer in schools, shelters and service organizations for a service initiative known as "United We Serve." The initiative calls for Americans to work together to provide solutions to pressing problems within their communities.
