Timberland Army Deploys at Dondero, Betty’s Dream

About 100 Timberland employees labored on the grounds of Dondero School Thursday, while dozens more painted and landscaped at Betty’s Dream, during the company’s bi-annual day of service. Most wearing “Timbs” work boots, employees for the Stratham-based shoe and clothing maker showed up early for the 27th year the company has paid its employees to volunteer in the community. Mike Gass works in footwear product development, lives in the Dondero neighborhood and his son Latham is a special needs student at the elementary school.

Employees Drive Spirit of Volunteerism on Comcast Cares Day and All Year Round

Throughout the last several weeks, thousands of volunteers have given their time and energy to participate in service projects in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the globe. Those efforts were part of the lead up to today’s companywide celebration of Comcast Cares Day, one of the largest corporate commitments to volunteerism and service in America. Arrow Electronics Employees Spend Earth Day Cleaning Denver Park

For the second year, Arrow Electronics employees at the company’s global headquarters celebrated Earth Day by teaming with Denver Parks and Recreation to clean Commons Park, near downtown Denver. Arrow volunteers mulched around trees, picked up litter and pruned overgrowth at the park. Collectively, the 75 participating employees contributed 250 hours of volunteer labor. They were part of a larger group of 375 employees from local companies that saved the city $25,000 in maintenance work.

This month, the team took to Daniel Boone National Forest to begin planting 20,724 trees – a commitment generated last September during National Bourbon Month as part of the brand’s annual Toast the Trees campaign.

Three representatives of global outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland recently joined the Smallholder Farmers Alliance and local farmers to help harvest Haiti’s first commercial cotton crop in three decades. Since 2016, Timberland has worked with the SFA to reintroduce cotton farming to Haiti. Their goal is to create a new sustainable supply chain for cotton, while also forwarding the reforestation of Haiti and improving farmers lives.
