One of the most influential voices of the Harvard B-School faculty on corporate sustainability and sustainable investing trends is George Serafeim, the Jakurski Family Associate Professor of Business Administration. He has teamed with Calvert and other organizations to produce a substantial, impressive body of work related to “making the investment” and “making the business” cases for both corporate managers and boards, as well as for institutional and individual investors.
Agricultural robots are a part of precision agriculture, which hold the promise to improve sustainable farming practices. From sensors to drones to satellite imagery to better software management for people and equipment, advancements in precision agriculture are enabling growers to use less pesticide, less water, produce less waste, and improve the environmental sustainability of agriculture.
Fox opened its doors to seven of the university's top female graduate students on July 13 as part of an exchange organized by Lee and the Women's Empowerment programs at the U.S. Department of State. The visit, which included a full tour of the studio lot and its operations, gave the students an up close and personal look at the American entertainment industry.
Point Foundation (Point), the nation’s largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, is committed to helping young people acquire leadership skills. Thanks to the generosity of corporate supporters and workplace giving, this year Point is able to bring its current 84 scholarship recipients and many of its 350 alumni together for leadership training events around the country, including a National Leadership Conference.
In 2015, AT&T sponsored 7 young men of color for All Star Code’s 2015 Summer Intensive program. Contributing over $1.1 billion annually to British Columbia’s Economy, salmon farming is the province’s #1 agricultural export with 70% of the product being exported to markets around the world. While the United States remains the largest export market, encouraging demand trends are emerging – especially in China, where exports have more than doubled since 2012 and the appetite for B.C. farm-raised salmon continues to grow.
