Tetra Tech is on the ground in Liberia, implementing the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) Land Governance Support Activity (LGSA), which provides assistance to the Government of Liberia as it builds the capacity of local and national land management institutions and strengthens the political, legal, and regulatory frameworks for land governance.
Tetra Tech has been leading a Power Africa Initiative project since 2014, making tangible improvements in people’s lives by taking a different approach to traditional assistance in developing countries. Tetra Tech is the prime contractor on the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) $140 million Power Africa Transactions and Reforms Project (PATRP), which is providing technical assistance and project transaction services to more than 25 countries. Power Africa is unique in that it brings together different parts of the U.S. government, international donors, the private sector, and African governments to achieve its goals.
Every year, approximately 3.6 million Americans miss or delay medical appointments because they don’t have access to reliable transportation. Minorities, people with low incomes, and those with chronic illnesses are affected disproportionately. These cancelations not only affect the individual missing their appointment - leading to untreated symptoms - but can also cause longer wait times and rushed appointments for other patients. In an effort to address the issue, two rideshare companies are using their assets to provide reliable transportation to those in need.
