Southwest has been named National Diversity Council’s official airline, enabling the company’s consultants and certified diversity professionals to travel the world demonstrating the importance of inclusive work environments.
High-school students took a virtual field trip today to Lockheed Martin Skunk Works where they learned about five advanced technology developments being pioneered by the Lockheed Martin engineers and scientists, or “skunks,” who work there. The virtual learning experience was designed to introduce students to the exciting work a career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) can offer.
BloombergNEF released its annual Climatescope report at the Shanghai Future of Energy Summit last week. Climatescope evaluates the investment conditions for clean energy and climate-related investments in 103 countries. For the first time Chile takes the number one spot in the country ranking from previously China.

Growing up in Kenya, the Ruto brothers couldn’t recall ever having a consistent water supply. Ken and Denis would often go days and weeks without running water, as over 50% of Kenya’s water resources are lost to theft, corruption, or leakage in the aging analog systems. Like other families, they’d buy water from unscreened sources, which was not only expensive but potentially dangerous. The Kenyan government has had no way to track these water losses, which is where Denis and Ken formed the idea for their innovation, Flux.
