Alexion Intern Returns as Post-Doc Fellow
The depth of Alexion’s commitment to serving the rare disease community is what kept drawing Global Medical Affairs Fellow, Adam Quicquaro, PharmD, back to the company. After completing his internship in Global Medical Information and Medical Review at Alexion, Adam returned to Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science University to complete his Doctor of Pharmacy degree.

This summer, for the first time, Alexion partnered with law firm White & Case to host a Diversity Fellow at its Boston Headquarters. White & Case’s 1L Diversity Fellowship program provides qualified first-year law students with experience working with clients, specifically those seeking to create an environment where the diversity of thought and background are not only encouraged, but preferred. During her fellowship, Celina Antonellis, a law student at University of Pennsylvania, joined Alexion’s legal team for several weeks to support a variety of projects.

Last November, the employees featured in the photo above hosted a tour of the building behind them. The building itself is, by all accounts, nothing short of a game changer for all of us who work at Alexion. On that day, I had an exclusive look at our new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Blanchardstown, Dublin, Ireland, where many of our rare-disease therapies will be produced. The visit was impressive for several reasons.
